• Getaround: Getaround is a similar site that’s active in San Francisco, Berkeley, Chicago, Oakland, Portland, and Washington D.C. On Getaround, car owners set their own prices, and it’s more common for renters to rent by the hour, rather than by the day or week. To list your car, you must be at least 19 years old, and your car must by a 2006 or newer with fewer than 125,000 miles.
9) Give Microloans

Microloans and peer-to-peer lending may be the way to do it. Microloans work similarly to normal loans, but they’re smaller amounts – typically between $20 and $1000, so within a college student’s budget. These borrowers often do not qualify for traditional bank loans. Some microfinance sites, such as Kiva, are non-profit and do not pay interest to their lenders.
